Responsive brief/ Douwe Egbert/ Raising awareness research

i thought it was best to research a little into what Douwe Egberts are doing themselves to raise awareness about their brand of coffee and ow they are doing it. The two most popular social networking sites at the moment are Facebook and Twitter, so here is where i started.

I have print screened some shots of the Douwe Egberts Facebook and Twitter page to highlight the brand followers and to show how they have been promoting their coffee.

Facebook is an excellent way of promoting a product, here are a few images showing how Douwe Egberts has been promoting their 'flavour collective' coffee by traveling up and down the country offering samples to the public. The idea is to spread the word about the brand and to let people taste it before buying it in stores. The Facebook page is a way of getting 'likes' by global users and a way of letting individuals see how well promotion is doing as well as learning something about the history of the coffee.

As i looked through the twitter images there seemed to be a lot of talk about the 'flavour collective' coffee, this is a good starting point for me as i am planning on carrying this on, creating and developing an understanding for what Douwe Egberts coffee is about.
