Design for print and web/ ISTD/ Gardeners world website

I've browsed the Gardeners World website and found some interesting points about it. It has a clear layout, good grid, appropriate colour scheme, a range of different pages to visit and informs and educates on many levels.

Something to bare in mind when designing my website, to consider other ways of application. Apps and for smart phones and ipads etc.
I like the how they have presented great images of their flowers and plants in a gallery, theyre show casing the stunning images of garden life.
An A-Z was a design consideration of mine, to do this i will have to investigate a lot into plants and flowers, this may be time consuming, however this may be useful for my website.
A great way of viewers to find what they're looking for, narrowing down the searches to identify certain plants and flowers, the categories include plant type, flower colour, foliage colour, feature, sun exposure, soil, hardiness and skill level.
